encompas partnered with this long‑standing Kansas City corporate client to furnish a newly renovated pilot space within their headquarters -an initiative designed to reimagine how employees connect, collaborate, and work on site.

As the company transitioned to encompas as their new preferred furniture partner after more than four decades with a previous provider, our team approached the project with a deep commitment to listening, learning, and aligning with Burns & McDonnell’s design intent.

The pilot space features a curated mix of work settings that support a modern, flexible workplace experience. encompas provided height‑adjustable workstations, ergonomic task seating, open collaboration zones, café and social spaces, and a variety of lounge and focus areas. Each selection was made to complement the architectural vision while ensuring comfort, durability, and long‑term adaptability for the client’s evolving needs.

Close coordination with local furniture manufacturer representatives and the design and construction teams allowed encompas to deliver a cohesive, future-forward environment that reflects the organization’s culture and aspirations. This pilot space now serves as a model for the company’s broader workplace strategy and demonstrates how thoughtful space design can elevate employee experience and support a more dynamic, engaging office environment.
